Birmingham University bans International Churches of Christ
UNIVERSITY OF BIRMINGHAM Memorandum From the Vice-Chancellor MWT/AFW/KMD To All students 13 February 1989 I am writing to let you know that the University has banned the Birmingham Central Church of Christ from University premises. This ban covers the Edgbaston campus and all other University property, particularly halls of residence and self catering accomodation. It is my view that the activities of the Birmingham Central Church of Christ are potentially harmful to the well- being of those who become involved. Students who are approached by members of the sect should inform their hall president or the University security services at one. If you are seeking to leave the sect and need help St. Francis Hall chaplains or you personal tutor will be pleased to advise and help you. Professor Michael Thompson Vice-Chancellor
